Utah Trip July 2015

UTAH. Good lord, UTAH. This place is amazeballs, really, truly, amazing. We had the recent pleasure of visiting a little rv park right on the Paiute Trail system smack dab in the middle of Utah with our UTV's. Now, if you all dont know me well, me and my family are avid off-roaders, it is life for us. When we see a mountain that looks scary to most we throw it in 4 wheel low then divide and conquer. There is nothing we cant go up, down, or through, and, honestly, if there isn't a challenging trail or obstacle we are bored to death. Ridiculous? Absolutely. Do we love it? F-yes.
We were on our mini adventure weekend with part of the Dirty 30, my parents, my 5 nieces and nephews, hubbs, and our friends Goodman and Casey, our crazy group was primed and ready for Utah'ing fun! Our little rv park was adjacent to a fast paced river where canoes and air filled boats passed by full of adventurers hitting the rapids ahead, on the other side was a large mountain range with zip lines and breathtaking views. Surrounded by nature, hell yes, this is my kind of place. We turned off the cell phones, fired up the UTV's, and hit the trails.

Day 1 we passed through Marysvalle, UT, and, I wont lie, driving through the dead middle of town in our UTV's felt like a crime... like we were bootleggers ready for the cops to spot us and chase us through town sirens blaring... but it never happened. Utah is a very offroad friendly place and as long as you aren't being a gigantic jerk-face driving on the road in a UTV or ATV is commonplace. After passing through town, LIKE A BOSS, we hit the trails up into the mountains, and I figure at the highest point we were likely at 10000 feet. We visited an old mine in the mountains, saw some really quite spectacular views, tackled a few "very difficult" rated trails per our map (which we found fun, but not technical or difficult at all), ran into a pro-piligamy Mormon (awkward!), got lost once or twice, and put over 75 miles on our cars before pulling into camp at dusk.

Day 2, holy hell day 2. The day started out great with a nice hot breakfast and the warm sun, and that was the last of warm we were to encounter that day... We had planned on going to a reservoir to hang out and eat lunch, then on to a local town to visit our family that lived there, and then it started to rain. When I say rain I don't mean a little sprinkle, I mean Forrest Gump "big ol fat rain", soak you to your chonies rain, raindrop bombing your alabaster skin ripping it from bone, and flooding away your trails rain. Holy effing RAIN! After a long haul in the freezing cold rain to the reservoir we were met by mama with dry clothes, trash bag pseudo-make-shift rain coats, sandwiches, and whiskey to warm our souls back to life.   Thank goodness for mama. After warming up and sending the little kids back to camp to stay dry and warm the adults got crazy... rain=everyone else is home and dry, rain=no dust, no dust+no fellow riders=death run in the mountains. Hell yes. We drifted around corners 2.5 cars wide, diced it up like Stig, climbed some muddy hills, fired off a few rounds, told stories, laughed, and, honestly, had one of the best afternoon/evenings in memory. The rain was totally worth it, this was the sporty ride we had been waiting for all day. Back at camp the festivities continued with MC Hammer dancing, some sick ass karate-chopping, a bomb dinner, ladder ball, and later that night the boys went out muddin' as our Floridian friends call it.

Day 3, the team packed up and headed home, me and hubbs packed and headed to the other Ruckers' house in a small town nearby. Upon arrival we took a quick little ride into the mountains where we were greeted with the technical trail we had been waiting on all trip, at one point my car was so vertical I was hanging in my seat by my harnesses and it was the sketchy-scary trail we had dreams of! The views were wonderful, the trail was great, the family visit was grand. During our visit we were able to take each of their 6 children out in our UTVS, which they were so thrilled to do it made our entire trip so dang worthwhile! We took each kid on a little hill climb, putted through town a little bit, and found an old quarry to race and drift through. Just the kids reactions and the fun they had while we visited was worth the entire trip, and its was their amazingly happy little faces that reminded me that we are so very lucky to be able to do what we do. On our drive home we were greeted with a storm that produced the most gorgeous desert stormy skies, and a road trip detour through a part of Utah that was so stunningly beautiful it turned out to be one of the best hours we wasted in our lives.

Furiousia's flagship trip was a great one, the car sounded flipping awesome with the new Two Brothers exhaust we got... cant wait for the rest of the mods I have planned for my new-to-me machine!! St. Anthony, ID in September for UTV Invasion shes gonna kill it:) Cant wait!

It was a bomb ass trip, thank you Utah! We will be back for sure!!
