This is what Halloween looks like for the Ruckers

Not only do I use this blog for professional reasons but also personal photos, the happenings in my and my hubbs life. This year hubbs and I carved pumpkins, this was my very first pumpkin carving ever! It was good fun! It was our date night, and we got into the Halloween spirit to prepare us for the ghosts, goblins, and princesses (all Frozen themed though, weird?!). We carved, gutted, lit, and toasted pumpkin seeds, and it was a good night:)

K&K. Maternity Sesh.

Oh my goodness. This day was something. These two people are mi familia, the gent being my baby brother, the lady being the best sister in law I could ask for, the bun, a little firecracker named Jackson that we are all impatiently waiting to meet. I wept a teeny bit while editing these, my baby brother isn't a baby any more, hes having a baby (well, she is but you know what Im saying) and they are so happy. This little boy is being brought into the world by two very loving parents, two happy, in love, stable, patient, kind, strong, caring, thoughtful, wonderful people. That's really something and Jackson is blessed already. In a few weeks ill be documenting his arrival, and, I cant wait. I. CANT. WAIT. Really, Jackson, you should know we are all waiting on you kid, so hurry up bud! This will be my first birth, and hopefully not my last, Im elated, scared, nervous, excited, and worried. Its going to be amazing, hes going to be amazing. Oh my god, I cant wait.

No flash, just the right moment with the perfect light highlighting the belly and sign.

A day with the Saldanas

I'm sure if you have read my blog, looked at my site, or even liked my business page on Facebook you know, i'm absolutely irrevocably in love with black and white photos. Black and white are classic, always in "style", and always gorgeous. Here's a few from a family I shot recently, this sweet little family welcomed home their third baby girl and to remember this special time in their lives I was asked to document it.  Welcome home sweet Remi!!
